POINT HOPE GHANA STAFF

Denied Bility (Tutugirl) Dendeh “Tutugirl” Bility is the Project Officer in charge of Point Hope Ghana’s Nutrition and Early Childhood Education Project at the Krisan Refugee Camp, in the Western Region of Ghana. Her involvement with Point Hope Ghana began when she was on an education scholarship to complete her Journalism degree.  Fortunately for Point Hope, Tutugirl stayed on to volunteer and eventually became an employee of Point Hope Ghana in 2010. She worked at the Buduburam Nutrition and Early Childhood Education program and then transferred to take the lead on the same project at Krisan.  Tutugirls’s love for everyone knows no bounds.  She gives her best in administering her duties because seeing the smiles on the faces of people that had no hope, and those beautiful smiles from the innocent little children she feeds daily, inspire her.  Tutugirl is married to Charles, who also works with refugee matters, and they have one son, Charles, Jr.

Arthur Kwesi Hanson Arthur N. Jikpamu Hanson, better known as Kwesi, a native name for a male born on Sunday, began with Point Hope Ghana in 2006 as an office assistant. Kwesi is Ghanaian by birth, but was a small child living in Liberia when the civil war leading to the refugee situation erupted.  He and his family eventually settled at the Liberian Refugee Camp in Buduburam, Ghana, where he grew into adulthood.  Kwesi currently works as the Distribution Officer of Living Water, a long-term, on-going Point Hope Ghana project located within the Buduburam settlement, where he oversees the vendors selling the water and the care and maintenance of the pumps and many miles of pipe which bring fresh, flowing water to the 20 "fetching stations" located throughout the area. He is grateful for the opportunity to work with Point Hope Ghana and lives within Buduburam where he is able to quickly respond to any needs Point Hope has on the ground there. Kwesi has family still living in this area, as well, with whom he is very close, including his daughter Pinky and his son, Gerald.
