A Voice for Forgotten Children

Totes of Hope 4 Teens

Find a Need, Fill a Tote...

Teenagers in foster care are often forgotten kids, as the younger children receive more focused attention.  If there is a problem in a home placement, when the child is a teen, the easiest, and most usual, solution is to move them.

Circumstances not choices: The children don’t choose to be in these circumstances. Today, a usual case is related to parental drug use and substance abuse. The increase in heroin use among other substance abuse by parents, along with parental neglect, contributes greatly to the rise in foster care placement.

A “tote” (or duffle bag) from Point Hope — filled with personal hygiene materials and everyday items, including some items of comfort – is a simple gesture which provides humanity and hope

This past year, Point Hope has seen the growing need and we are determined to act, to be a voice and an advocate for these forgotten children. We are imploring you to join with us!
