Point Hope – World Vision: Ghana GIK Book Project
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
- All books shipped to us will be new (preferred) or gently used (very good condition).
- All books will need to be shipped, securely packaged and clearly marked, to our Denver warehouse facility at the donor's expense. The address for the shipments is:

- A detailed inventory (to include description, quantity, and an estimate of value) of all items being donated will be required for acceptance
- Bills of lading and other customs documentation will be created and handled by World Vision.
- Receipts for donations will not be provided unless specifically asked for and the estimated value is over $1000
- World Vision Volunteers will hand inspect all items received for compliance and cultural appropriateness. We reserve the right to screen and remove items for possible distribution elsewhere or disposal (as a last resort).
- Once the books have been approved, World Vision commits to send all the donated items to the camp in Ghana as part of our regularly scheduled GIK shipping program with no additional cost to the individual donor. At this point, we are expecting to send a container to Ghana from Denver every 4 to 6 months.
- Point Hope personnel in Ghana will collect feedback.
Only books approved by World Vision will be accepted for this program. The types of books currently approved (as of 5/17/06) are as follows:
