Agriculture includes crops of produce like maize (corn), beans, cabbage, onions, tomatoes, peppers, garden eggs (eggplant), and more, as well as livestock! Point Hope has goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, and snails.  (We hope to add pigs to the farm, soon.)

About Agriculture

Growing crops and raising poultry and goats on about four acres of land where the soil is dense and often water-logged isn't easy, but our farmers have learned sustainable agricultural practices of composting, mulching, rainwater harvesting and all-natural, chemical free pest-control (most of the training came through Delilah on her frequent trips to Ghana).

Point Hope provides produce grown on the farm in Buduburam to families in need, but we also educate about 30 malnourished households each month on which food crops to grow to provide the highest amount of nutrients (minerals, vitamins, proteins, etc.) for their family's growth and developments.
